The partnership of Cornerstone Congregations, Partner Churches and Outside the Walls creates opportunities for retirees and senior citizens, in congregations, to serve the Great Commandment and Great Commission through outside their walls programs.

Key Activities of Cornerstone Partnering Churches
This role is designed to build a bridge between churches and outreach work, mobilizing more believers to spread the gospel and love of Jesus Christ.
Identify and Engage Churches Desiring to Expand Outreach:
In partnership with LCMS Texas District, Church Leadership and ‘Outside the Walls’ grow outreach programing
Encourage Outreach and Mission Focus:
Emphasize Jesus’ commandments love and outreach (Great Commission - Matthew 28:19-20, Great Commandment - Matthew 22:37-40)
Equip Churches for Outreach:
Train Lay leaders on how to organize outreach events, mission programs, and engage with their communities based on existing programs.
Coaching:
Assist in planning initial outreach events or partnerships for Partner churches.
Facilitate Partnerships:
Act as a bridge to connect Partner churches with existing outreach ministries, mission organizations, or other churches.
Promote Long-Term Outreach Growth:
Encourage churches to develop sustainable outreach ministries that go beyond one-time events.
Communication and Reporting:
Partner Churches report quarterly to the Cornerstone Church and to OTW leadership on the progress of outreach efforts.
Share success stories and testimonials to motivate other churches to join the ‘Outside the Walls’ movement.
